Of course I wish I had, but I know hand over heart that I did my best. I represented the people I spoke to as honestly as I could. I kept my head high, I did not attack anyone, and I painted a picture of what is possible, of a way forward where we have more in class support, earlier skills training in high school that directly leads to local jobs and into healthcare. At the very least, I have raised awareness and helped lift the voices of others, and I feel good about that.
The thing is, it is worth giving things a go. You will have supporters and, as I have found, you will have critics and trolls too. Bigger picture, you will never look back and regret that you tried, and you will certainly learn along the way.
As far as I know, we get this one precious life. Change is constant and nothing is ever promised. I consistently challenge myself to expand my comfort zones, to act with courage, and to intentionally grow. This means putting myself forward in all kinds of ways, including recently in this state election.
I have known as long as I have been alive that I am meant to help others, that I have been given these specific gifts, and that it is up to me to use them and find ways to contribute. That is what I will continue to do.
If something lights you up or makes you passionate, honour that feeling and take action. Maybe that looks like volunteering, engaging in the community in a new way, finding a solution to a problem you want solved, or upskilling for a new role. It is worth doing if you feel called to do it.

We’ve talked about making sure major projects go through proper due diligence.
We need a balanced scorecard that ensures people, business, and the environment all benefit.

Education is how we build the future we all want to live in. It’s the foundation for everything - more skilled workers to help with healthcare and housing which are my other 2 top priorities.
When we start strong, we all grow stronger. Here’s how we do that:
• More in-class trained support for teachers because educators need backup to give each student the attention they deserve.
• Mental health and allied health professionals in schools support that teaches coping skills, builds resilience, and meets young people where they are.
• Earlier skills training in high school in trades, healthcare, and other local industries that need workers now.
• Clear pathways into local jobs
So young people can see a future for themselves right here at home.
• Nutritious school lunches for every student so no child goes hungry and every child can focus and thrive.
• Universal preschool available from age 3 which offers early exposure to language, numbers, care and connection.
When we invest in education, we invest in people and everything else grows from there.

1. Is Cost effective
2. Works along with our community and does not impede on people
3. Supports and does not pull money away from health, education, and our basic needs of housing
4. It must protect and not negatively and irreversibly impact the environment.
